Organic Supplier Declaration

With reference to our obligations as a supplier of fresh Organic produce, we confirm the following:

• All organic fruit that we supply have been produced in accordance with the European standards set out in European Council Regulation 834/2007, Commission Regulation 889/2008 (as amended) and Commission Regulation (EC) 1235/2012 (as amended)
• All plant protection products that we propose to use are listed on PPU declaration attached and are approved for use on organic system and will submit evidence of approval if requested.
• We have not used any genetically modified organisms (GMOs)
• All organic records will be retained for a minimum of 5 years
• Any non-approved pesticides residue detected after residue testing will be flagged up immediately
• We have not used ionising radiation for the treatment of organic food or of raw materials
• If we process organic and non-organic products either using the same equipment or at the same site, we will minimise the risk of contamination
• Water used for rinsing equipment or for washing produce, is potable (fit for drinking) only natural acid washes approved by our organic certification body are used
• We do not wash organic fruit and vegetables in water with more chlorine than allowed in drinking water (5PPM)
• We do not use unapproved was coatings directly onto fruit or vegetables
Packaging
• We confirm the packing we use is totally chlorine free and elemental chlorine free (ECF)
• We confirm that if used, recycled packaging is process chlorine free (PCF)
We do not use any of the following materials in our packaging:
• Unlacquered aluminium foils if the food is acidic ( with a pH less than or equal to 4.5)
• Coatings, dyes or inks that contain phthalates if they will be in direct contact with foodstuffs
• Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
• Materials or substances that contain, have been derived from, or manufactured using, genetically modified organisms or genetically engineered enzymes
• Wood that has been treated with preservatives (bulk bins)
